Swimming with Whale Sharks is a wonderful experience, and our goal is to help you enjoy it fully.
Start your Whale Shark adventure in Cancun with the check in at the marina, where you’ll receive a briefing.
We have comfortable transportation on an A/C van available from all Cancun hotels and meeting points for

Our priority is your safety. We snorkel on shallow waters with few to non sea currents. Our professional guides will be ready to assist you at all times and they carry a wheel (life preserver) that you can hold onto any time you want.
Enjoy a smooth ride from the marina to the Whale Shark snorkeling spot in a spacious 32 ft. boat. This ride takes about 1 hour.
Encounter from 20 to 50 Whale Sharks while snorkeling. It depends on the stage of the season and the weather, but we have found over 150 at one time. Keep an eye out for stingrays, sea turtles and dolphins as well.
Once everyone is done swimming with Whale Sharks in Cancun, we’ll return to the boat to head back to the marina. We’ll make a stop at Playa Norte in isla Mujeres, ranked as one of the 5 most beautiful beaches in the world.
Get back to the marina and enjoy its top notch facilities to refresh yourself and prepare for your return
trip.

Use an eco sunscreen or a long sleeve shirt to avoid sunburns. For conservation reasons non biodegradable sunblock isn’t allowed.
Bring a hat, sunglasses, towel and a change of clothes.
Carry some extra money for pictures, souvenirs or personal expenses.
The ride is quite smooth, however, if you tend to get seasick we recommend you take motion sickness pills.

Whale Shark season start on June 1th and ends on September 15th.
The peak Whale Shark season in Mexico is between July and August, when you can find from 40 to 80 Whale Sharks swimming close to the surface at the same time.
No, it isn’t dangerous to swim with Whale Sharks. They are very docile and only eat plankton and very small fish.
Whale Sharks don’t eat humans and pose no threat to the swimmers that visit their habitat.
The Whale Sharks come to the sea surface early in the morning to eat. That’s when the first boats go out to the known locations to try to spot them and broadcast where the Whale Sharks are.
Is it guaranteed you’ll see Whale Sharks? We can’t guarantee it a 100%, but there’s almost a 98% you’ll encounter them. During the peak of the season those odds increase, but still, we can’t guarantee a 100%.
The chances are tiny, if any at all. Over the 15 years we’ve been doing this tour, we haven’t had any issue, so there is nothing to worry to about.
Not necessarily. We highly recomend you do so, but if you don’t feel comfortable snorkeling in any way, you can always stay onboard and look at the Whale Sharks from the boat. The view is great and you can get lovely pics.
The ride to the snorkeling area is around 50 to 80 min. The boats are ample, steady and safe so you can relax and enjoy the trip. Plus, along the way you can spot sea turtles, stingrays and even some dolphins.

No, you can’t swim with Whale Sharks in Cozumel. The Whale Shark’s migration route goes between Cancun, Isla Contoy and Isla Holbox, but not Cozumel. If you are there and want to swim with Whale Sharks in Mexico, you’ll have to como to Cancun
